Filmfest Hamburg to host ‘Botox’

Iranian movie ‘Botox’ is to be screened at the Filmfest Hamburg in Germany.

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the film will represent Iran at the 2021 edition of the event.

‘Botox’ is about Akram and Azar, two siblings who have lied to everyone about their brother’s disappearance. They have told others that he fled to Germany and that they have no news of him.

Gradually, the lie turns into reality in Akram’s mind. She starts to count the days for her brother to come back.

Sousan Parvar, Mahdokht Molaee, Soroush Saeedi, Morteza Khanjani and Mohsen Kiani are among the cast members of the flick.

FILMFEST HAMBURG is an international film festival, the third-largest of its kind in Germany. It shows national and international feature and documentary films in eleven sections.

The 29th edition of the festival is scheduled for September 30 – October 9, 2021.
